By using the Schooling platform, you are required to agree to our Terms of Use. These terms may be updated at any time by posting the revised “Terms and Conditions” on the Schooling platform. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting. Users will be notified of updates via social media, email, and the “Notice Board” in their account. Continued use of the Schooling platform requires acceptance of the updated Terms of Use.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PLATFORM, DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR UTILIZING ANY MOBILE APPLICATIONS AND SERVICES OFFERED BY SCHOOLING. THIS AGREEMENT OUTLINES THE LEGALLY BINDING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ACCESSING AND USING THE PLATFORM AND ALL RELATED SERVICES.

By clicking “Accept” or “Agree” when prompted, or by accessing or using the platform in any way, including browsing the site, you (“member, user, student, tutor, parent, institution, buyer, or seller”) agree to be bound by this agreement. These terms apply to all users, including but not limited to vendors, customers, merchants, and contributors of content, information, materials, or services on the platform.

Schooling is a Marketplace

THE PLATFORM SERVES AS A MARKETPLACE CONNECTING INDIVIDUALS SEEKING TUTORS WITH THOSE OFFERING TUTORING SERVICES. TUITION RATES ARE DETERMINED BY THE GUARDIAN(S) OR STUDENT(S). AS WELL AS COACHING, COURSES ARE DETERMINDED BY THE INSTRUCTOR OR INSTITUTION. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT SCHOOLING HAS NO CONTROL OVER THE ACTIONS OR OMISSIONS OF ANY USER AND MAKES NO GUARANTEES REGARDING THE QUALITY OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY ANY TUTOR OR USER.

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT SCHOOLING IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERFORMANCE OR BEHAVIOR OF ANY USER, WHETHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE. SCHOOLING OPERATES SOLELY AS AN ONLINE TUTOR-MATCHING MARKETPLACE, ASSISTING USERS IN FINDING VERIFIED TUTORS, COACHING, COURSES AND TUITION OPPORTUNITIES.

SCHOOLING IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DISPUTES ARISING FROM THOSE ENGAGEMENTS BETWEEN TUTORS AND GUARDIANS/STUDENTS. BY USING THIS PLATFORM, YOU AGREE TO DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Membership Eligibility

If you are a minor, i.e., under the age of 18, you are not permitted to register as a user of the platform or transact on or use the platform. Users above the age of 18 may access the Site or Services only in conjunction with and under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to the Terms.

If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child under the age of 18, you may use the Site or Services on behalf of the minor. By doing so, you represent and warrant that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian. If you do not meet these requirements, you are prohibited from using the Site or Services.

Membership in the Services is void where prohibited by law, and access to the platform is revoked in such jurisdictions. By using the Site or Services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms and agree to abide by them fully.

You agree to:
(a) provide accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the registration form on the platform (“Registration Data”);
(b) maintain the security of your password and identification;
(c) promptly update your Registration Data and any other information provided to Schooling to ensure it remains accurate, current, and complete; and
(d) accept all risks associated with unauthorized access to your information and Registration Data.

Tutors (Providing Service)

• Service Commitment: As a Tutor, you are obligated to complete the service requested by the Service Requester (Student, Guardian, etc.). If selected as the Tutor, you are advised to contact the Service Requester prior to submitting your offer to clarify all terms and conditions to avoid any potential misunderstandings. By submitting an offer, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined in the service request description, provided they do not violate this Agreement or any applicable laws.
• Qualification Disclosure: Tutors must provide proof of their qualifications to the reasonable satisfaction of the student or guardian before initiating any tuition engagement. This proof must also be provided upon request at any point during the engagement.
• No Guarantees by Schooling: Schooling does not guarantee securing a Tutor for a Student or setting tuition fees on behalf of Tutors or Students.
• Verified Listings: While all tuition listings on our platform are verified to the best of our ability, Schooling is not responsible for any undisclosed information provided by the student or guardian.
• Payment Security: Tutors are encouraged to make platform charge payments through our secure online payment gateway.
• Professional Conduct: Tutors are expected to maintain a professional demeanor consistent with the norms of a teacher-student relationship.

Platform Charge and Return Policy for Tutors

Account Creation: There is no initial charge for creating a Tutor account.

Charges: Tutors are required to pay two types of charges:

1. Verification Charge: A one-time fee of BDT 500 for the address verification process. If a Tutor changes their address post-verification, they must obtain a new verification letter by paying the applicable delivery charge based on their city.
2. Platform Charge: This is a one-time charge per tuition job, calculated as a percentage of the tuition payment, and must be paid within seven days of confirming the job.

Online Tutoring Payment Process:

1. For online tuition jobs, Schooling collects the first month’s full tuition fee from the guardian/student in advance on behalf of the Tutor.

1. After the first month, the Tutor receives the payment after deducting the platform charge.
2. For subsequent months, the guardian/student pays the Tutor directly in advance between the 1st and 10th of the respective month.

Refund Policy:

1. If a Tutor pays the platform charge in advance but the tuition job is canceled due to a valid reason, the payment will be refunded according to our Return Policy.

1. Refunds are calculated based on the duration of the tuition job and the Return Policy percentage.
2. Example: If your tuition salary is BDT 5000 and you are charged a 55% platform fee (BDT 2750), and the job is canceled after the platform charge payment, you may receive a refund based on the Return Policy duration.
3. To qualify for a refund, the discontinuation must be initiated by the guardian/student and must have a valid reason. Refunds are not applicable if the cancellation is due to the Tutor’s fault, as determined by our investigation team.
4. Tutors must notify us within 48 hours of cancellation to be eligible for a refund. Our team will review the case and process refunds accordingly.

Fee Changes: Schooling reserves the right to revise platform charges or introduce new fees at any time. Any changes will be communicated in advance via a notice on our platform.

Note: Please keep in mind that the updated platform charge policy will apply exclusively to tuition jobs posted on or after January 1, 2026. Any jobs posted before this date will remain subject to the previous platform charge policy and will not be impacted by this update.

Guardians/Students (Requesting Service)

To request services on our platform, you must meet legal requirements and clearly describe your request and terms on the posting page. All requests must be appropriately categorized and include text descriptions and relevant content. Before accepting any services from Schooling, you must acknowledge the following:

1. Liability Disclaimer: Schooling is not responsible for any antisocial activities (e.g., theft, threats, damages, harassment) involving hired tutors. While we verify tutor profiles for authenticity, guardians/students may collect a photocopy of the tutor’s latest educational qualification document, which should remain with the guardian/student as long as the tutor is teaching.
2. Behavioral Issues: Schooling is not liable for behavioral issues involving hired tutors.
3. Tuition Rights: Continuation or discontinuation of tuition services is solely at the tutor’s discretion. Schooling has no authority in this regard.
4. Free Registration: Registering as a guardian/student and posting service requests is completely free.
5. Detailed Requests: Provide as much detail as possible in your tutor requests to improve responses.
6. Verification Process: Tutor requests will be live on our job board after verification by an educational consultant via phone.
7. Grade Assurance: Tutors cannot guarantee grade improvements, and grades cannot be used as grounds for refund requests.
8. Student Conduct: Students are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior and make informed decisions before hiring a tutor.
9. Service Eligibility Abroad: Services are available for guardians/students abroad only if they have local relatives in Bangladesh.

Payment Process (Guardians/Students-Bangladesh)

Hiring a tutor through Schooling is free. Tuition fees, however, are determined by guardians/students and must be agreed upon with the tutor.

• For local physical tutoring, payment transactions are handled directly between the guardian/student and the tutor.
• For online tutoring, the first month’s payment is made in advance to Schooling. Subsequently, payment is made directly to the tutor within the 1st to 10th day of each month.

Payment Process (Guardians/Students-Abroad)

Guardians/students abroad must pay tutors’ salaries in advance each month. For the first month, payments are processed through local relatives in Bangladesh and transferred to Schooling via mobile banking (with transaction fees included). After the first month, payments are made directly to the tutor within the 1st to 10th day of each month.
Note: Services are available abroad only for guardians/students with local relatives in Bangladesh.

Ban Policy

Users may face temporary or permanent bans for specific violations after a thorough investigation. During the ban period, users cannot post requests or apply for jobs.

• Tutors may be banned for reasons like non-cooperation, inappropriate behavior, rule violations, false information, unethical actions, or creating issues post-confirmation.
• Guardians/Students may be banned for non-cooperation, misconduct, inappropriate behavior, unethical actions, or issues with tutors post-confirmation.

Information Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all information provided, including compliance with laws and third-party rights. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account. Schooling reserves the right to use your information in line with our Privacy Policy.

App Permission and Data Collection

The Schooling App requires certain permissions to enhance user experience, including location data for check-in/out features. Users can update or delete their information; however, some data may be retained for legal or business requirements.

Data Deletion Rights

Users have control over the information they provide to us, including the ability to update or delete their data. However, certain features or functionalities of the Platform may not be accessible without specific information. When users delete their information or accounts, it is removed from our system. However, some data may be retained to comply with legal obligations or meet business requirements. Any retained information will be anonymized to prevent identification.

Text Messages & PUSH Notifications

We send text messages and push notifications to guardians, students, and tutors to inform them about tutor requests and updates on tuition services.

Breach of Terms

We may restrict your activity, remove postings, issue warnings, suspend or terminate your membership, or refuse services if:

1. You breach this Agreement or related documents.
2. We are unable to verify or authenticate the information you provide.
3. Your actions pose potential financial loss or legal liability to other users or to us.

Privacy

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without explicit user consent. Personal information is only used as outlined in our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the transfer or use of your information as described, please refrain from using our services.

Liability Limitations

Schooling and its partners involved in site design, development, and maintenance are not liable for lost profits or any special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the site, services, or this Agreement, regardless of the cause, including negligence.

Copyright Policy

We respect copyright laws and expect our users to do the same. Accounts found repeatedly infringing on copyright holders’ rights may be terminated in accordance with our policy.

General Terms

We strive to meet user expectations but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous service due to factors beyond our control.

• Users are prohibited from reproducing, duplicating, copying, selling, reselling, or exploiting any content, including intellectual property, obtained via our services for commercial purposes.
• Any violation of these terms may result in restricted access to the Platform, suspension, or termination of services, as applicable.
